Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Laser Engraving Services

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of laser engraving services ("The Service") provided by GETi Ltd. ("The Company," "we," "us") to you ("The Customer," "you"). By submitting an order or item for engraving, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Engraving Service

1.1 Acceptance of Order

All orders are subject to acceptance by The Company. We reserve the right to refuse any order without providing a reason, particularly if the design is deemed offensive, illegal, or technically unfeasible on the submitted material.

1.2 Laser Engraving Limitations

Permanence: Laser engraving is a permanent, irreversible process. Once the engraving begins, the service fee is non-refundable.

Material Variability: The final appearance (colour, depth, and clarity) of the engraving is highly dependent on the type of metal or material of the jewellery item. We cannot guarantee that the engraving on your item will perfectly match examples shown on our website or marketing materials.

Proofing: For complex designs, a digital proof may be provided. The Customer is responsible for approving the proof, including spelling, font, placement, and sizing. Engraving will proceed based on the approved proof. Any errors found after approval and completion are the sole responsibility of the Customer.

1.3 Jewellery Supplied by The Company

If the jewellery item is purchased directly from The Company, our standard product warranty applies to the item itself, but this warranty does not cover issues arising from the engraving process (e.g., if the item is later damaged by external force at the point of engraving).

2. Customer-Supplied Items (CSIs) and Liability

This section is vital and covers items of jewellery provided by The Customer for engraving.

2.1 Acknowledgment of Risk

The Customer acknowledges and agrees that sending a personal or valuable item (including heirlooms) for laser engraving carries inherent risks, including the potential for damage, melting, discoloration, cracking, or total loss during the engraving or shipping process.

2.2 Customer Declaration

The Customer must accurately declare the material, age, and approximate monetary value of any Customer-Supplied Item (CSI) before the engraving service commences. Failure to disclose known defects or unusual material compositions voids our liability.

2.3 Limitation of Liability for CSIs

In the event a CSI is damaged or destroyed during the engraving process, The Company’s liability is strictly limited to a refund of the original engraving service fee paid by the Customer.

We will not be liable for the monetary replacement value of the CSI itself, regardless of its declared value.

The Customer is solely responsible for insuring the CSI against damage or loss for its full value throughout the duration it is in our possession and in transit.

We will make reasonable efforts to return any damaged CSI to the Customer.

3. Design Submission and Intellectual Property (IP)

3.1 Ownership of Artwork

The Customer warrants that they are the legal owner of or have the necessary rights and permissions to use any logo, crest, monogram, or artwork submitted for engraving.

3.2 Indemnity

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold The Company harmless against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to any claim that the artwork submitted by The Customer infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party.

3.3 Content Restrictions

The Company reserves the right to refuse to engrave any content that is profane, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or promotes illegal acts. In such cases, the engraving service fee will be refunded, less a reasonable administrative charge.

4. Pricing, Payment, and Cancellation

4.1 Pricing and Payment

All service fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the engraving work. Any required design setup fees are also payable upfront and are non-refundable once design work has begun.

4.2 Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only if the laser engraving process has not yet begun.

If cancellation is requested before engraving begins, the service fee will be refunded, minus any non-refundable setup or administrative charges.

Once engraving has started, the order cannot be cancelled, and the full service fee will not be refunded.

5. Shipping and Risk of Loss

5.1 Shipping to The Company (CSI)

The Customer is responsible for securely packaging and insuring the CSI for shipment to The Company. Risk of loss or damage during inbound shipping remains with the Customer. We recommend using a trackable, insured courier service.

5.2 Return Shipping

The Company will ship the completed item back to the Customer using a recorded and insured method. Once the tracking shows the item has been delivered, risk of loss passes back to the Customer.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [e.g., England and Wales, or your local state/country], and any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [e.g., England and Wales, or your local state/country].
